The Tumut Halloween Trick or Treat Map is an interactive, family-friendly tool designed to help you plan your Halloween trick-or-treating in Tumut and surrounding Australian towns. Powered by Google Maps, it lets you:

  • View participating homes offering treats, marked with pumpkin icons.
  • Add your own home to the map to join the fun.
  • Edit or remove your marker with a secure code.
  • Use the "Show Best Path" feature to plan an efficient trick-or-treat route from your starting address.
  • Search by postcode to explore Halloween events in different areas.

Perfect for families and Halloween enthusiasts, the map ensures a safe and spooky experience!

Follow these steps to add your home to the map:

  1. Click the "Add Your Location" button on the homepage.
  2. In the pop-up modal, select your title (e.g., Mr, Mrs) and enter your name and email.
  3. Type your full address in the provided field and select from Google’s autocomplete suggestions to ensure accuracy.
  4. Choose your trick-or-treat hours (e.g., 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM).
  5. Click "Add to Map". You’ll receive a confirmation and a removal code via email.

Note: Your address will appear as a pumpkin marker on the map, visible to others in your postcode area.

To update your marker’s details (e.g., address or time):

  1. Click the "Edit Your Location" button on the homepage.
  2. Enter your email and the removal code sent to you when you added your marker.
  3. Click "Fetch Details" to load your current marker information.
  4. Update your name, address (using autocomplete), or trick-or-treat hours as needed.
  5. Click "Update Marker" to save changes.

Note: If you’ve lost your removal code, contact support via the form at the bottom of this page.

To remove your marker from the map:

  1. Click the "Remove Your Location" button on the homepage.
  2. Enter your email and the removal code sent to you.
  3. Click "Remove Marker". Your marker will be instantly removed.

Note: All markers are automatically cleared at 12:00 AM on November 1, 2026.

The "Show Best Path" feature helps you plan an efficient trick-or-treat route:

  1. Enter your starting address in the "Enter Your Starting Address" field on the homepage and select from Google’s autocomplete suggestions.
  2. Click "Set Starting Point" to confirm your location.
  3. Click "Show Best Path". The map will display an optimized walking route connecting all trick-or-treat locations in your selected postcode, starting and ending at your address.

Note: This feature uses Google Maps’ walking directions and supports up to 25 locations. Ensure at least one marker exists in your postcode.

All markers on the Tumut Halloween Trick or Treat Map are automatically removed at 12:00 AM on November 1, 2026. This ensures no personal information (e.g., addresses) remains on the map after Halloween.

You can also manually remove your marker at any time by following the removal steps above.
